Exchange Rates

I am leaving in 8 days (on Feb 20th) and of course before going I have to think of exchanging Canadian Dollars into Korean Won. The good thing about Vancouver is that there are more options than just your local bank. As most people know the banks are not a great place to exchange any type of currency (I guess unless you have a US account with them). However there is a huge exception when it comes to the lovely Korean Won.

The Korean Exchange Bank here in Vancouver actually offers a really great rate (probably because they are Korean) and no fees if you do not have an account there! Of course shop around to see if any of the currency exchanges have great rates like Vancouver Bullion and Currency Exchange, but thus far KEB has been good to me.

Oh sometimes KEB downtown runs out of large bills so you might need to head out to Burnaby or Coquitlam to make your exchanges so you can try calling ahead of time to ask; unless you are totally fine with lots of 10 000 wons or 1000 wons.

8 days till my departure date! I cannot wait.
